As we come to the end of 2017 there is much to be thankful for. This past year we have made great strides in seeing the community center up and running.
The Neville and Nora Dorsett Community Center continues under construction as the new roof has been placed on. We will now move forward on the interior once the doors and windows are placed on in the coming weeks. The goal is to have this center open for the wonderful children and families in the area by Summer of 2018. The Center will utilize 4-H programming, which is internationally renowned, for its successes of "developing citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach". In addition, we plan to implement programs for unemployed individuals in the community and senior citizens during the day.
This center will be one of a kind in the Bahamas, and will seek to synergistically work with other nonprofits, companies, foundations, and individuals in the Bahamas and abroad to achieve the common mission of a better society. Thank you.
