Nyara Youth Development – Connecting the Unconnected, located in the heart of Nyara Villages, South Africa, remains steadfast in its commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering our rural youth. We believe that access to digital resources and skills is not a privilege, but a fundamental right in today's interconnected world.
Key Initiative: Expanding Digital Access
Our primary initiative, the Rural Wi-Fi Network, continues to make strides in providing crucial internet access to our community. Our vision extends beyond the center. We are actively fundraising to expand the Wi-Fi network further into the villages, ensuring that more young people can benefit from this transformative technology.
Leap Ladder Program: Nurturing Potential
We are thrilled to announce significant progress in our Leap Ladder Program, a cornerstone of our efforts to support holistic youth development.
Thanks to the generous support of The Haga Haga Abalone Farm, the Phase 2 building campaign, focused on completing the roof and installing windows for our Resource Center, is on track for completion by the end of May 2025! This infrastructural improvement is vital to the success of our Leap Ladder AfterCare program, which has been expanded to serve all grades from 1 to 7.
We extend our deepest gratitude to The Haga Haga Abalone Farm for their invaluable contribution.
