Nyara Youth Development – Connecting the Unconnected of Nyara Villages, South Africa! This campaign continues to be the main project of Nyara Youth Development, stretching towards empowering our rural youth with digital access and skills to narrow the digital divide they face daily by increasing the number of internet hotspots in the villages.
We are excited to report that our phase 2 building campaign to complete the roof of our center was funded by RoundTable East London. They funded a portion of the roof, see pics attached. The completion of the roof is imperative to the success of our Leap Ladder AfterCare program, which we have now extended to include all grades from 1 -7. This will be a concerted effort to complete in the first quarter of the year. Currently we are teaching children outside due to lack of space under roof cover.
Our Rural Wifi Network enables us to facilitate all courses for free, at our Resource Center!
It is our hope that our partners will continue along this journey with us, as we focus on digitally empowering the youth to participate in tech-enabled opportunities that drive inclusiveness, employment and economic transformation by providing access to 21st Century tools in our rural Nyara Villages.
