This season, your support has reached two provinces and two very different rooms — and in both, something meaningful happened.
In Chiang Mai, nearly 50 church leaders gathered for a two-day workshop titled "Strengthening Families, Protecting Children, Honoring God's Design." Pastors and community leaders came together to explore a simple but powerful conviction: that poverty should never be the reason a child is separated from their family. What stood out was not just the attendance, but the shift in the room — leaders leaving not only with new understanding, but with practical tools and a renewed sense of responsibility to care for vulnerable children by keeping their families together. When the Church steps into this role, it changes everything for families on the margins.
In Khon Kaen Province, our team joined partners from Care for Children and Sahathai Foundation to deliver case management training alongside the local Provincial Children and Family Shelter. We expected 80 participants — 92 showed up, and stayed fully engaged until the very end. The room included social workers, teachers, and staff from One-Stop Crisis Centers: the kind of multidisciplinary gathering that child protection actually requires. Participants were honest about the barriers — hierarchy, limited resources, procedural delays — but they were equally honest about their commitment. As one participant reflected, when any sector lacks awareness or urgency, children fall through the cracks. Their solution? Regular coordination, shared understanding, and showing up for each other. This training builds on earlier sessions that have now reached 224 local district leaders across the region. There is still a long road ahead — but rooms like this one remind us that people are willing to walk it.
Your generosity makes these gatherings possible. Thank you for believing that every child belongs in a family.
