It is usual to wrtie glowing reports, of the advances of projects for our donors. This year though, has been exceptional, in that we as an organization have had to struggle to survive, and each of the families have had huge shifts in their lives- as has the whole planet, together.
ASIREA lost three members of our staff due to budget restrictions during COVID, which in turn has seriously affected our capacity to reach out to our donors. There have been important changes though, we now have a new board, with honored members of our assotiation who will be able to have a fresh look and take new steps in this and other projects we have.
And about the five families: they continue to protect the forest NO. MATTER. WHAT. If they were limited in their resourses then, they are more challenged now, especially economically. So if you feel moved to do so, remember these families now at the end of the year.
Finally, we wish YOU especially and your family a blessed Christmas. These times are hard for most people and their families. We wish you PEACE and a hope not only for a "happy new year", we hope for a new non normal planet, where our forests and the people who dedicate their lives to their protection are honored and valued. We hope for health, for all beings. And, yes, we wish you the most profound joy, the kind that come from the heart, when hope glows without fear. Tahnk you for being a donor to this project!
