With this project, we will help more than 30 persons to have the capacity to uphold their lands in Costa Rica. Also, this money will be a great opportunity for these families to preserve the biodiversity of the area while at the same assuring well being for their families. Asirea organizes a fundraiser and then redistributes the money to the different families.
The preservation of biodiversity is very important in the world and especially in Costa Rica since it amounts to 6% of the world biodiversity but this preservation has a cost. To help financially people in need, who fight to preserve the environment, such as water, forests and their lands rich in biodiversity. Help them also to improve their living, increase their chances of creating viable projects and working conditions.
All properties, without exception, are home to countless protected and rare animals such as jaguars, monkeys, birds and many prehistoric marine animals and majestic tropical trees. Asirea will propose aid to the stewards of these areas in the form of payment for environmental services to enable these people to maintain the biodiversity present in these areas.
Asirea's work and your help will not only be dedicated to maintaining the fauna and flora of these areas. Indeed, if families manage to conserve these lands, they will be able to create projects to help them discover this incredible biodiversity, such as the Halova project in Tortugero. Through land rehabilitation and increased accessibility, they can bring rare experiences to national and international schools, and more generally, to anyone who would like to enjoy these spaces.
