Many pregnant teenagers in rural villages in Ghana face serious health, social, and economic challenges. Due to poverty, stigma, and limited access to healthcare, many do not receive proper antenatal care or support during pregnancy. This project will provide free maternal health services, counseling, medicines, and outreach care for 250 pregnant teenagers in underserved rural communities.
Pregnant teenagers in rural villages often lack access to timely healthcare and face discrimination that prevents them from seeking support. Many do not attend antenatal clinics due to cost, fear, or distance to health facilities. This increases the risk of pregnancy complications, unsafe deliveries, and poor health outcomes for both mother and baby.
This project will provide mobile maternal health outreach services to support pregnant teenagers in rural villages with free antenatal checkups, pregnancy screening, nutrition guidance, essential medicines, counseling, and referral services for high-risk cases. It will also provide education on safe pregnancy practices and newborn care.
This project will improve the health and safety of 250 pregnant teenagers in rural communities. It will reduce pregnancy-related complications, improve access to antenatal care, promote safe deliveries, and support healthier outcomes for both mothers and newborns while reducing stigma and increasing awareness.
