Project Update:
Through the EWARE programme,Adara Foundation continues to support vulnerable women by providing practical skills training and empowerment opportunities aimed at helping them break free from poverty and become financially independent.
Since the launch of the campaign, the Foundation has continued engaging with women across underserved communities, many of whom are widows, single mothers, and young women facing severe economic hardship. Through conversations and community engagement sessions, we have gained deeper insight into the daily struggles these women face and their strong desire for opportunities that can improve their lives and the wellbeing of their families.
As part of the programme, women are being introduced to vocational and creative skills such as tie and dye production and batik making. These skills are designed to help participants create sustainable sources of income, start small businesses, and become financially self reliant. The programme is not only equipping women with practical knowledge, but also restoring confidence, dignity, and hope for a better future.
Many of the women have expressed excitement and willingness to participate in the training programme because they see it as an opportunity to transform their lives. The initiative continues to inspire hope within the communities and strengthen the belief that economic empowerment can create lasting change for women and their families.
Community Impact:
The EWARE programme is gradually creating awareness around the importance of women empowerment and sustainable livelihood development within the communities we serve. The women involved are showing increased enthusiasm toward learning new skills that can provide long term financial support for themselves and their households.
By empowering women with practical vocational skills, the programme is helping to reduce economic vulnerability while promoting self dependence and community development. The initiative also encourages women to support one another, creating a stronger sense of unity, resilience, and shared growth within the communities.
Current Challenge:
Our goal is to raise $13,000 to train and empower 100 women before 2027. However, despite the growing interest and positive impact of the programme, only $10 has been raised so far. This remains a major challenge as funding is needed to provide training materials, mentorship, equipment, and other resources necessary for the successful implementation of the programme.
Next Steps:
Adara Foundation remains committed to expanding the reach and impact of the EWARE programme by engaging more women across underserved communities and providing them with access to life changing empowerment opportunities.
The Foundation plans to continue mobilising support, strengthening partnerships, and creating awareness about the importance of women empowerment and poverty alleviation. With increased donor support, the programme will be able to train more women in tie and dye production, batik making, and other vocational skills that can help them achieve financial independence.
