With just $130, you can help a woman gain the skills and confidence to build a sustainable livelihood. Since 2017, our 10-week hands-on tie-and-dye and batik training has empowered over 300 women to turn creativity into income. Many now run small businesses, work with top fashion brands, and train others. We aim to raise $13,000 to train 100 more women to earn above minimum wage and support their families with dignity and pride.
Millions of women live in poverty not because they lack talent, but because they lack opportunity. Across sub-Saharan Africa, millions of women survive on unstable, low-paying informal jobs. Without skills or income security, families struggle to meet basic needs. Children drop out of school, health suffers, and poverty continues from one generation to the next. Without access to practical skills and income opportunities, women remain trapped in this cycle of poverty.
EWARE (Empowering Women in Arts Related Enterprises) breaks this cycle of poverty by equipping women with practical, income-generating skills. Through a structured 10-week training, women learn tie-dye and batik production using real tools, real materials, and responding to real market demand. Participants receive: hands-on skills training, all learning materials at no cost, daily meals during training, financial literacy and basic health education, mentorship and market access support.
EWARE creates lasting change, not short-term relief. Women who complete the program go on to earn sustainable incomes, start small businesses, and support their families without relying on aid. Many train other women, multiplying the impact within their communities. When a woman earns, her family is stronger, her children stay in school, and the cycle of poverty is broken. By supporting this campaign, you are investing in skills, income, and long-term independence for women.
