Support a child with disability to thrive

Dear Supporters,

Today, we would like to share a milestone that fills us with gratitude and hope.

Thanks to your generosity, alongside the support of other local and international partners such as KIA and the Municipality of Librazhd, we have achieved something truly meaningful: the full transfer of the Mobile Services Center for Children with Disabilities to the Municipality of Librazhd.

What started as a project has now become part of the local public service system. From July 2026 onwards, the Centre and its services are officially managed by the Municipality, ensuring that children and families will continue receiving the support they need for years to come. This is the kind of sustainability we all hope for, where services become embedded within local institutions and remain available long after a project ends.

Over the course of this journey, we transformed a former unused building into a model multi-functional centre offering specialised services for children with disabilities. A mobile team also brought services directly to children who were unable to access the centre, helping ensure that no child was left behind.

Together, we achieved:

• 97 children and young people received specialised therapies in their homes and in the centre.
• Around 150 therapy sessions per month were delivered through the centre and mobile outreach services.
• Specialised services included speech therapy, physiotherapy, and developmental therapy.
• 66 parents and carers were trained and supported to better respond to their children's needs.
• 56 teachers and education professionals strengthened their skills to support inclusive education.
• 66 primary healthcare professionals were trained to identify early signs of developmental challenges and provide timely referrals.
• 1,750 community members were reached through awareness-raising campaigns and community events.

Beyond the numbers are children who can communicate more confidently, families who feel less isolated, teachers and health professionals who are better equipped to provide support, and a community that is more inclusive and aware.
