Another important activity of the project was the establishment of 8 Health Outreach Activists (HOA) group. The groups were composed of 20 - 25 women of different professions such as: nurses, midwives, students, entrepreneurs and teachers. The groups attended three one day workshop focusing on importance of Health Outreach Activist, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Cervical Cancer. The women trained shared information with other women in the community who then conducted the gynecological visit. A brochure was developed and distributed among the women. Diakonia Agapes will continue to support the women and raise funds for the project. We ask you to continue to support us in this effort.
