Healthcare for 2000 Rural Villagers in Myanmar

Thank you for your continued thought and care for the people of Myanmar. Because of supporters like you who have stood by this project, we are able to maintain our long-term commitment to the isolated communities of Kawthaung.

Between May and July of this year, our medical team was able to visit and treat 210 patients through our mobile clinics in rural areas, while our fixed clinic in Kawthaung city provided care to 829 patients.

A vital part of this ongoing effort is our network of 12 Community Health Volunteers. These dedicated individuals remain active within the rural villages, serving as the essential bridge between our doctors and the patients. When the mobile clinic is not in their village, they manage health emergencies, coordinate urgent transport to the city hospital, and help organize our medical team’s upcoming visits.

As you may know, managing healthcare initiatives in Myanmar right now involves navigating significant complexities. The shifting internal conflict and the global rise in fuel prices—which has heavily impacted Southeast Asia—have made transportation increasingly difficult. However, we continue to be present on the ground, adapting to these circumstances to ensure consistent care reaches those who need it most.
