Rama Sesana Foundation which has the activity in the middle of Traditional market Pasar Badung, committed to continue to provide health services more intent in screening and preventing the transmission of COVID 19 during this pandemic. Educational activities carried out at people who come in crowded places such as in Badung Market on the importance of washing hands with soap and running water, wearing masks and keeping a distance when shopping, are carried out by the YRS education team consistently since the pandemic began to enter Bali Indonesia. Body temperature checks are conducted on each market visitor as a screening to protect the Badung Market community and decrease the transmission of COVID-19 among market community. In average we conducted around 400 people they were market visitors every day during the working hours of YRS team in Badung Market. We also conducted health services through our clinic for general health check, in particularly to screening symptoms related COVID 19 and other disease. The clinic's strategic location on the 1st floor of Pasar Badung makes it easy for the market visitors to find access to medical services when experiencing health problems while in the market.
The economic impact of COVID-19 Pandemic to the community in particularly to the poor people who work around Badung Market as worker or small vendor are very large. Because their lives are very dependent on their income in one day to meet their daily needs. Rama Sesana Foundation raise sympathy and support from other organization to help them to reduce the economic burden during the pandemic, we worked and collaborate with the community of lecturers in Medicine Faculty of Udayana University supported them with packages of food support to 120 workers and laborers at Badung Market.
A very significant increase of COVID 19 cases in several areas in Bali overwhelmed some medical service facilities and medical staff experienced a shortage of PPE equipment as protectors in carrying out their duties, these are contains a very high risk for medical team who are provided the services to the COVID 19 patients who could potentially transmit the infection to the health provider. We support our colleagues in the affected areas for the PPE that we got from the assistance of several donors and YRS supporters . We continue to encourage and support all people to remain vigilant and always pay attention to the Covid Health Prevention Protocol 19, to speed up the breaking of the Covid 19 transmission chain, so that we can all adapt to new conditions and habits for staying healthy and productive.
