This month, YRS carried out different activities than usual. We made exciting trips to several villages in Buleleng, such as Gesing, Gobleg, Tinggarsari, Selat, Tamblang and Sidetapa villages. As a clove-producing area in Bali, these six villages offer clove trees that are shady and really beautiful. In this activity, we also carried out an assessment to find out the knowledge and concern of clove farmer wives towards the environment and women's health. We did not expect, there is a lot of life behind a slope that is really far and not easily accessible. From this assessment, we found that there were still many of them who had not been able to access information about women's health, some even got the wrong information because the distance to the nearest health service was quite far and it was difficult to access information via the internet due to limited signals. In addition, through this assessment, the YRS team become more enthusiastic and optimistic about providing medicals services and education because residents in this village still really need health information, especially women's health.
Another activity that we do regularly is a discussion with Peer Educator YRS (PE) through the WhatsApp group which is attended by 8 PEs. This month we discuss about Cervical Cancer. Although they did not meet face to face, YRS Peer Educators were very active in asking and answering questions during the discussion.
