This project will provide free fistula repair surgeries, counseling, and rehabilitation to 500 women in rural Kenya who suffer from childbirth-related injuries. It will restore their health, dignity, and ability to participate fully in family and community life.
In rural Kenya, thousands of women suffer from obstetric fistula, an injury caused by prolonged or obstructed labor that leaves them incontinent, isolated, and stigmatized. Many of these women cannot afford surgery or receive specialized care. This project will provide 500 women with free surgery, screening, and rehabilitation, restoring their health and dignity and empowering them to reclaim their roles in society and break the cycle of poverty and isolation.
This project will provide free obstetric fistula repair surgeries to 500 women in rural Kenya who are unable to access or afford treatment and receive counseling and post-surgical care. After recovery, they will participate in rehabilitation programs that include emotional support and vocational training. Community health volunteers will conduct outreach to identify cases early and educate families about maternal health. Restoring health, dignity, and long-term self-reliance.
This project aims to restore the health and dignity of 500 women, enabling them to reunite with their families, regain independence, and participate in economic and community life. Many will become peer mentors, helping others seek treatment and reduce stigma. Over time, the project will enhance maternal health awareness and outcomes in rural Kenya, strengthen local health systems, and empower women to break cycles of poverty and isolation, impacting thousands of lives across generations.
