Summary

Challenge

Communities in Syria face limited access to essential health and psychosocial services due to prolonged crisis conditions. Vulnerable groups-especially internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, children, and the elderly-are experiencing increased health risks, untreated illnesses, and rising psychosocial distress. In addition, there is a lack of integrated, evidencebased approaches that effectively combine physical healthcare, mental health support, and community resilience.

Solution

The project will address the identified gaps by delivering integrated health and psychosocial services directly to vulnerable communities through mobile teams, improving access to care for underserved populations. It will combine medical support with mental health and psychosocial assistance (MHPSS) to respond to both physical and emotional needs. At the same time, the project will strengthen community resilience by providing health awareness, training for local volunteers, and capacity building

Long-Term Impact

In the long term, the project will contribute to sustainable improvements in community health and resilience by strengthening access to integrated health and psychosocial services. It will build local capacity among health workers and community volunteers, enabling continued service delivery beyond the project period. The evidence generated will support the adoption of more effective, integrated approaches to health and wellbeing, informing future programs and policies in similar crisisaffected
