In the past two months, October and November, Kisara PKBI Bali has been on a powerful journey—bringing vital conversations about sexual and reproductive health into classrooms and communities across Bali.
Imagine this: 9 schools and 2 community groups opening their doors, welcoming discussions on topics that matter deeply to young people—sexual violence, sexual and reproductive health, mental wellbeing, and bullying. In total, 899 students and community members joined these sessions, each one stepping into a space where knowledge meets empowerment.
What makes this initiative unique is its peertopeer approach. Teenagers learning with teenagers, sharing stories and insights in a way that feels natural—like a friendly chat rather than a lecture. This makes the information not only easier to understand but also more relatable, sparking genuine curiosity and dialogue.
And Kisara doesn’t walk this path alone. Together with the Denpasar City AIDS Commission (KPA Kota Denpasar), these efforts are grounded in collaboration with government institutions, ensuring that every activity is datadriven and tailored to real needs.
The impact? Lively discussions where young voices shine. One participant asked a thoughtprovoking question: “How can we balance our own boundaries with the boundaries of others?” Questions like these transform the room into a vibrant learning space—where informed choices become possible, and where young people discover the confidence to shape their futures.
This is more than outreach—it’s planting seeds of change.
With your support, Kisara PKBI Bali can continue to expand these safe spaces, empowering more young people to make informed decisions and build healthier communities.
