SQEP PROJECT DEC/JAN/ FEB UPDATE SDMC PRIMARY SCHOOL PUSHP VIHAR SEC3
UPDATE
The month of December and January saw many events which included teacher engagement, student engagement and parent engagement.•The month of December started with medical camp in school. With the help of Rotary club a medical camp ( Full body check up) for students and cancer diagnostic camp for parents was organized in school. More than 100 parents turned up across both the shift for diagnostics.
On 24th December we celebrated Christmas day in Pushp Vihar sec 3 where the whole school, both the shifts celebrated this festival by decorating school, showcasing performances, distributing sweets and wishing each other a happy new year.
•The month of December also witnessed the PTM for Rubella vaccination in both the shifts. Parents and grandparents of the children in both the shifts attended the meeting understand the importance of Rubella vaccination.
•The government teachers of grade 3,4 and 5 were consistently involved in Medhavi preparation along with the LLF resource person. The Medhavi exam was held on 30th January 2019. •In the month of December, students of GD Goenka School, Vasant Kunj, visited the school to show the students different science models – working and non-working on conservation of energy, ideal city and renewable resources.• The month of February also saw mega PTM on 17th February 2019. The agenda of the PTM was making the parents aware of the importance of examination in school, extra co- curricular activities done by the students, importance of school books and notebooks for kids, school health scheme, moral education and discipline in school, importance of cleanliness and other schemes under the Pradhan mantri yojnas.•One of the key challenges in the team is shortage of teaching staff from SDMC. Class Nursery has 70 students and 1 teacher and Grade 2 has no teacher. LLF team members are directly teaching in these classes, which is impacting the planning and mentoring of other classes. Application has been submitted to SDMC office for teachers and regular follow ups done.
