The month of September and October saw many events which included teacher engagement, student engagement and parent engagement. •September saw the celebration of teacher’s day in both the shifts. All the teachers participated in the activities showing a remarkable example of LLF and school teacher bonding.•SMC meeting was conducted in both the shift on agenda of creating new structure of the SMC, adding new members in place of in-active members, to form new norms that would be implemented by the new members of the SMC. This event saw the successful partnership between SDMC team, parents and LLF team.
• NSE event was organised for their employees where they spent the first half of the day with our kids engaging them in various meaningful activities such as making garbage bins out of waste, puzzle making, storytelling, etc.The evening shift is also witnessing regular handball, badminton and chess practice by the selected students of grades 3, 4 and 5 for their upcoming annual sports event in which the kids won prizes in various categories.
•The government teachers of grade 3,4 and 5 were consistently involved in Medhavi preparation along with the LLF resource person.
•We have also had interns from different colleges actively taking part in school academics and co-curricular activities. Following events took place in the months of September and October.
•The school celebrated the occasions of Diwali and Children’s Day in both the shifts.
•One of the key challenges in the team is shortage of teaching staff from SDMC. Class Nursery has 70 students and 1 teacher and Grade 2 has no teacher. LLF team members are directly teaching in these classes, which is impacting the planning and mentoring of other classes. Application has been submitted to SDMC office for teachers and regular follow ups done.
