In early February, Shelby County Trustee, Regina Morrison Newman, in partnership with the Bank on Memphis Coalition and Memphis Shelby County Schools hosted the 2nd annual Adulting 101 event for high school seniors at the Agricenter and our RISE team was in attendance!
The event brought together experts in several key areas to help ensure students are prepared for life after high school. Bankers, technical specialists, financial counselors, and many more were in attendance to assist our students on the pathways to success, budgets, and give advice on how to pay for college. Over 50 companies were present and provided students with post-secondary opportunities and options.
Nearly 1,500 MSCS high school seniors were in attendance, and a drawing was held for 4 lucky seniors to win a Dell laptop, which will be delivered to each student’s school location.
Special thanks to Shelby County Trustee, Regina Morrison Newsom and Molly Polatty for extending an invitation for our BTW Warriors! The students loved the experience. To find out more information about this event, visit www.bankonmemphis.org.
