Annual Summary for 2025
1. Education & Development Program:
Our on-going educational program focuses on strengthening the reading habits and the holistic development of children, promoting spaces for learning, reflection, and ongoing support.
- 75 children participated.
- The goal was to develop reading comprehension and critical thinking.
- To create spaces for dialogue and learning through monthly talks.
- Each child read between 2 and 3 books during the year.
- Reading material adapted to age and comprehension level.
Educational Talks; Two talks were held each month on topics such as:
- Respect for family and respect for animals.
- Disabilities and understanding, empathy, and inclusion.
- Personal dreams, aspirations and life plans.
- Human values.
- Emotions and how to recognize and manage them.
- Spaces for dialogue, reflection, and active participation.
The project contributed positively to the children’s academic and personal development, fostering reading habits and promoting a healthy and participatory learning environment.
Nutrition & Food Basket Program:
The aim of this program is to guarantee adequate nutrition for the children throughout the school year; to support academic performance and concentration; and to contribute to the physical and emotional well-being of children.
Meals (home-cooked-style lunch)
- Total number of children enrolled in the project: 75.
- Children attend the program after their public-school classes in the afternoons
- 20-25 children per day.
- Total lunches served on average each month: 400.
- Snacks are provided at the end of each day before the students leave.
Food Baskets: 345 food baskets were distributed to our 31 participating families.
3. Animal Welfare:
6,000 pounds of dried dog (purchased at the factory at a deep discount) distributed to partner organizations and to our local rescue and street dogs.
400 pounds of cat food
Veterinarian expenses for 14 dogs and 8 cats provided via our partners.
We hope you have enjoyed this summary and we are deeply appreciative of each of you, our 176 monthly donors who donations range between $5.00 and $250 per month and the 1,124 individual donors who came to our support over five funding events in 2025 whose donations ranged between $5.00 and $12,500.
