Integral Heart Foundation

Our mission is to change culture from the inside out through person-to-person sponsoring and educational programs that include the development of mind, body, spirit and emotions. We see our work as the beginning of a multi-generational movement whose leaders are empowered to preserve cultural beauty and diversity and to embrace personal responsibility in a global context.
Build a Brighter Future for 85 Kids in Guatemala

Updated November, 2016: Since early 2012 this program has been serving 85 children from 42 poor families in the villages near Antigua, Guatemala, cultivating the love of learning while they are young. With this program, children are cognitively and emotionally stimulated through educational activities and games. In addition to helping children, this program empowers mothers to work in other jobs than in the fields, not only improving their financial situation, but also increasing self-worth. project reportread updates from the field

We support the lives and education of 60 children and teenagers and their families. The education programs happening at 'La Academia' are Critical-Thinking, English, Spanish, History, Psychology, Homework Study, art, playtime and we provide breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. project reportread updates from the field
Provide a Critical-Thinking program for 40 teens

This project is currently providing a Critical-Thinking Program to 40 young people between the ages of 13 and 21 years. This program empowers their inherent potential to enter the workforce as sharp-minded employees and to create their own sources of income, helping these students become responsibly and courageous adults. Another aim of this program is also to create community leaders who will become the new role models for their families, friends, new in-coming students and future generations. project reportread updates from the field
Operating a School for 81 Children in 2017

Education is at the heart of breaking the chains of generational poverty. Children born into povery and neglect require a compelling, holistic approach to build confidence in their ability to dream. The opening of our school 'La Academia' in 2016 has been a great success. Our center is home to our Teacher-Training Program, Critical-Thinking, English, Spanish, History, Psychology, Homework Study, Art, Playtime, and Theater Programs. We serve 1,500 meals monthly to 81 children, 5-21 years old.
Empower Angelita's dream for Guatemala

Angelita is 14 and has been in our sponsorship program since 2011. Education is not highly rated in Guatemala so many girls end up starting their own family at a very young age. Angelita, however, wants to keep studying, but to do that she needs a tutor. You can help her. project reportread updates from the field
