Giving Smiles Has Never Been Easier

Stay Safe, We Keep you in our Hearts!

Dear Friends,

We are happy to have the opportunity of communicating with you during this difficult time all over the world with the Covid 19.

The past few months have been very important for Hearts of Gold and our community, we realized that we don't only need to focus on strengthening our community organizations but we also feel important to focus on our children and teenagers.

we decided to interview all of our children and teenagers who attend our partner organizations.

We asked them what their dream was, and we were shocked to hear their dreams where so simple to achieve, at least 90% of them.

They have dreams such as climbing a mountain, looking at the ocean for the first time, having a princess party, having a room full of balloons and many more

you are helping our little ones feel included members of society, making then aware of the world outside of their realities.

They can be whatever they want when the grow up, they can become doctors nurses, fire fighters!

For this reason, we decided to grow this projet of GIVING SMILES into ALL CHILDREN DESERVE TO DREAM!

Thanks to you, children will be making their dreams a reality.

I want to thank you as a witness of their smiles and laughter, their shiny eyes and happy hearts are because of you.

Unfortunately, in Ecuador we are on quarantine due to the Covid 19.

We have been working from home and will be doing it until all of this is oVer, in the meantime, we are making sure our children and teenagers have enough food at home, we have been sending rice lentils and non perishables.

A New Year with New Smiles!

During this course with the program of giving and drawing smiles we have been able to gather many enriching experiences with each of the children and their families, it is remarkable that the power of the smile builds magical stories.

Thanks to each of you for your support and love we can make a fair and equitable society possible for all.

In these months we have been able to meet the goal of delivering a magical moment for children, and their families are able to share and deliver a candy bag, a gift and a basket with food and personal hygiene products for all beneficiaries of our associated foundations EL ARENAL, CETAP LUCY, OSSO, NOVA, KALLPAWARMI,and the SOUP KITCHEN together with SANTA CLAUS, we delivered gifts for more than 300 families. This allows us to create new smiles with hope for a fair and happy future.

Through the “Giving Smiles” program, it is amazing to see how we can accomplish dreams of families, you are creating a better world full of smiles.

On December NINA RESTO-BAR was also able to entertain 74 children of the Arenal Foundation, offering a puppet show, delivering a candy bag and a present for each one ofthe children and teenegar whor attended this event..

We want to also let you know that we made a new alliance with the Lions Club, to carry out a vision screening campaign, a diagnosis was made to all the children of NOVA AND EL ARENAL Foundation, glasses could be delivered to the children in needed.

We could also count on the collaboration of a volunteer who made a professional photo session for all the children, teenagers and staff of the El Arenal Foundation, in order to give them a personal photograph as a souvenir.

This year we begin to fulfill the magical dreams, we will have more news soon, we invite you to stay tooned on the big positive impact you are making in the community

Growing Stronger!

Giving and drawing smiles has become a high-impact program, due to the initiative to act against social differences and contribute to improving the lives of girls, boys, teenagers and families in Ecuador. Thanks to each one of your contributions we can make this dream a reality. Thanks to your generous heart of gold we can create new smiles with hopes for a fair and happy future.

In this course of time, we have been able to create new connections and alliances with private and public companies for our “Giving Smile” program, with the initiative of generating an impact through all the axes of action to build a more just and solidary society. During these months of management and hard work of Hearts of Gold, the central committee of parents of the SANTANA school, “NINA- RESTO BAR” and “VICE ALCALDIA DE CUENCA”, companies with high recognition at the local level, have joined this project.

We started our campaign to collect school supplies, with the initiative of being able to give children educational materials so that they can start classes in this new school period, with the collaboration of the central committee of parents of the SANTANA school, we started with the “donate your book” campaign in which we were able to collect more than 50 educational books with the goal of motivating children in reading as it helps to develop the capacity for concentration and memory It improves oral and written language, stimulates imagination and creativity. We were able to deliver teaching and recreational work materials to CETAP-LUCY-NOVA AND EL ARENAL, in order to provide better service to the community.

We want to share with you that a new private company with social responsibility initiative NINA RESTO-BAR, joins the initiative to give and draw smiles on children, starting November, five children will be rewarded for their improvements in school and good behavior with a delicious meal and a tour at this beautiful venue, this initiative is not only to reward the children achievements, but also to encourage and teach them that with efforts ad hard work you can achieve your dreams, and through these businesses be agents of inspiration for the community.

Through the “Giving Smiles” program, it is amazing to see how we can build dreams in children through the creation of a world of smiles, thanks to this program we were able to make an alliance with a group of young people “EMAUS”, and we were able to visit OSSO our partner institution (organization for orphaned children with severe disabilities), to paint the walls and make the organizations look amazing.

We also would like to ask you to stay tooned for a new project of Giving Smiles that is coming up on the next couple of months, please keep the smiles of our children close to your hearts, you are making their dreams come true, all of these amazing achievements would not be possible without you!
