Dear sponsors,
From October 2019 up to now, the project has implemented 2 trips to donate milk to pediatric patients of the National Cancer Hospital (K Hospital, Tan Dynasty). We would like to share the results and photos of each trip as follows:
1. First trip: On October 12nd 2019, the pediatric patients had a morning of joy when they had the chance to drink fresh milk and make some small gifts for their beloved ones themselves.
Under the guidance of volunteers who are students from TH School, the children created many beautiful decorations for their postcard. Many vivid cards decorated with cars, butterflies, the sun, etc. were made by their little hands. The cute shapes with scribble lines were not perfect but contain full of love. They were gifts given to the children’s mothers, grandmothers or care-givers as an expression of love. In the small space of the department, these activities were considered as a way to relax, help them temporarily forget about the treatments and have fun moments.
A total of 480 glasses of fresh milk were given to 60 pediatric patients (8 glasses of milk/child).
Looking at the smiles of the children, VSF believes that this day was a day full of love and unforgettable moments.
2. Second trip: On October 26th 2019, the pediatric patients had the opportunity to talk and have fun with two foreign volunteers and two Vietnamese student volunteers, as well as receive fresh and nutritious glasses of milk.
A total of 480 glasses of fresh milk were given to 60 pediatric patients (8 glasses of milk/child).
At the end of the trip, Trang Anh – the Vietnamese student shared: “Happiness can be seen through their smile, I now know how much joy my small actions have brought to the kid patients and I want to continue to spread this joy to more people. This activity is truly meaningful and I feel my time is well spent, and I hope everyone can have the significant opportunity like me”.
In order to carry out the two above milk - donation trips, besides the money we have received from you through global giving, we have mobilized more contributions from other individual donors.
We are looking forward to receiving your interest and support with this project.
Please do not forget - for only $ 10, you will provide 30 glasses of fresh milk to children with critical illnesses
