When The Special Foundation launched its first Giving Circle in November 2025, one beneficiary was at risk of being unable to continue school due to unpaid fees. Through pooled donations from Giving Circle members, this child received support that covered essential education costs, allowing them to remain enrolled and continue attending classes. For the child and their family, this support removed immediate uncertainty and ensured uninterrupted access to learning.
Since launching the Giving Tuesday Giving Circle Campaign, TSF mobilized supporters across Nigeria, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom to participate in this new collective-giving model. In its first iteration, the campaign welcomed 14 Giving Circle members and received 22 donations, raising 3,140,000 locally and $485 via the GlobalGiving platform. These funds supported multiple children through school supplies and tuition assistance, helping vulnerable students stay in school.
The Giving Circle also strengthened TSF’s partner pipeline, resulting in a corporate commitment from Sciart Finance Limited to sponsor five full-year tuitions. Alongside fundraising, the campaign engaged communities through the Giving Tuesday Nigeria Festival, where TSF directly connected with over 500 children and families, as well as through alumni, volunteers, and partner networks that helped amplify the initiative. This first report reflects the foundation laid for a participatory giving model that TSF plans to grow annually.
