BAZNAS is committed to facilitating access to clean water in eight regions across Indonesia: North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Lampung, Central Java, East Java, South Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi. These locations were selected based on their vulnerability to drought.
Furthermore, BAZNAS believes that clean water and proper sanitation are basic needs that have a direct impact on the health, productivity, and quality of life of the community. The provision of clean water is carried out through the construction of boreholes, water tanks, and water distribution channels that allow the community to have sustainable access to clean water, especially during the dry season.
One of the wells was built at RA TPQ Baitul Qur'an Mulyojati, Metro Barat Subdistrict, Metro City, Lampung Province. This clean water provision program aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 6, which is to ensure the availability and sustainable management of clean water and sanitation for all.
