Update progress report on our project

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

In the words of William James, "The deepest craving of Human nature is the need to be appreciated". We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "GIVE SUCCOUR & REFUGE TO THE POOR AND HOMELESS (54364)".

In the past three months of our last project report, we have received additional donation of $510.14 through GlobalGiving link in continuation of our humanitarian services. Within the last three months also, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations and our little contributions. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

*INCOME*

a) Donation received through GlobalGiving = $510.14.

b) In-kind contributions =$58.15

b) individual contributions (Food items) = $65.23

Grand total =$633.52

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported is with your donation.

EXPENSES

i) Community outreach = $300.35

ii) Travel/mileage = $35.52

iii) Printing/photocopy of flyers = $25

iv) Voluntary Staff appreciation = $80

v) Telephone bills = $30

vi) Graphic artist = $30

viii) Balance brought forward of last budget expenditures =$-131.41

GRAND TOTAL OF expenditures = $632.28

Balance of income = $1.24

The major challenges we face in our project management is occasioned by poor funding, inadequate equipment to execute the projects, absence of technical expertise, economic and political instability and environmental . All these contribute to delaying our performance in our humanitarian services.

The major problems that have been identified in the course of our community outreach in many rural areas are poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, homelessness, crime, social evils, lower living standards, lack of facilities, services, and health.

All these are attributed to; Low Agricultural Production, unemployment, economic Depression and Inadequate Development, lack of Sufficient Housing, faults in the Education System, joint Family System, Caste System and Religious Beliefs, colonial Rule, sickness and Mental Ill-Health.

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to "GIVE SUCCOUR & REFUGE TO THE POOR AND HOMELESS (54364)" that supported these efforts.

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to the poor and homeless people.

Moreso, the September Little by Little Matching Campaign is right around the corner once again. GlobalGiving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign will last 5 days, from September 12, 2022, at 00:00:00 EDT to September 16, 2022, at 23:59:59 EDT. During the September 2022 Little by Little campaign, all eligible donations up to $50 USD per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% for the duration of the campaign.

We will keep you informed about how your donation is impacting the lives of people who are suffering because of this shortage.

Kindest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
