Play is essential in the development of children. This project created as a didactic and educational PLAYROOM, serves more than 500 VULNERABLE children, in situations of abandonment, abuse or disability in Medellin-Colombia, children who need SAFE SPACES to play and learn. It includes educational material, games, meals and psychosocial support to stimulate physical and mental development, preventing risks to those who are exposed by their environment, risk of child labor, drugs and abuse.
In Colombia, more than 2 million children live in poverty or are abused every day, 35,000 children are sexually abused, 14,000 live in armed conflict and 2.5 million children work informally, these risk factors undermine self-esteem and empowerment , which makes it difficult to properly adapt to and recover from a situation. 500 poor children will benefit from this space through play and comprehensive care, developing intelligence, self-esteem and empowerment and increasing resilience.
WITH YOUR HELP, more than 500 vulnerable children will receive attention through play as a therapeutic instrument, along with free meals, pedagogical support, didactic materials, technological activities and psychosocial services to children at risk in Colombia. PLAY has a crucial preventive role, because through play, children can symbolize FEELINGS that would be hard to represent by language, providing an opportunity to work on the solution of conflicts in a safe and pleasurable mode.
THE GAME improves the physical and mental development, self-esteem, resilience and empowerment of more than 500 poor Colombian children HAVE SUFFERED OR ARE AT RISK, allowing them to build healthy life projects for the future. Through technological activities and PLAY, children find tools to transform their HARD REALITIES, with an alternative approach to the development of social, cognitive and psychological skills. Also TRANSFORMING THEIR FUTURE.
