This project will provide free, healthy, daily lunch to poor children in our school, for whom nobody can pay the cost of lunches at the school.
In Hungary poor children should receive free meals in school by law. However, for some of these children, nobody - neither the state nor the local municipalties - provide the costs of these meals. With this donation campaign, we aim to provide the financial background to provide free lunches for the 12-15 such children in our school in reality, not just in theory.
With the donations our school can buy regular lunches for these children. The meal comes from a local social enterprise specialising in providing healthy food for schools and kindergartens.
This project will provide a model to solve small but long-term financial problems and can serve as a good examle for other schools.
