Eastern Aleppo remains one of the most vulnerable areas in Syria, still suffering from years of conflict and the recent earthquake. Families face extremely low income and high unemployment, making basic needs hard to afford. For women and girls, hygiene items have become too costly, forcing families to prioritize food and shelter. This project provides dignity kits for females aged 10 and above, ensuring access to essential hygiene supplies and protecting their health and dignity.
Eastern Aleppo, once home to 275,000 people, remains devastated by years of conflict and recent earthquakes. Women and girls live in damaged neighborhoods with widespread poverty, relying on aid or low-paid informal work. Families cannot afford essential hygiene items, leaving many without basic products. This lack affects their health, confidence, mobility, and daily dignity, making immediate support critical.
This project will provide dignity kits for women and girls in Eastern Aleppo, giving them essential hygiene and personal care items they can no longer afford. By distributing these kits, the project restores their health, mobility, and confidence, while reducing risks of infection and discomfort. The support allows women and girls to live with dignity despite the ongoing impacts of poverty, conflict, and displacement.
Providing dignity kits will create long-term improvements in women's and girls' health, comfort, and self-esteem. Access to essential hygiene items reduces health risks, supports regular school and work attendance, and restores a sense of dignity in daily life. Over time, the project strengthens community resilience by helping vulnerable families meet basic needs despite ongoing conflict, poverty, and displacement.
