Women and girls affected by displacement, economic hardship, and prolonged crisis in Syria continue to face difficulties accessing basic personal and hygiene items. This project was created to respond to these needs through dignity kits while ensuring that support is delivered in a way that respects women's privacy, safety, and dignity.
Since the project was launched on GlobalGiving, $1 has been raised toward the $5,000 fundraising goal. As the campaign has not yet generated sufficient funding to carry out the planned dignity-kit distribution through this specific project, we believe it is important to be transparent with our supporters about its current status.
At the same time, Equity and Empowerment has continued its broader work with vulnerable women and girls in Syria through protection, gender equality, and women's empowerment programming. Our experience continues to reinforce that access to essential items is closely connected to dignity, protection, and women's ability to participate safely in their communities.
The needs that led us to establish this project remain relevant, and EE remains committed to mobilizing resources and partnerships to support vulnerable women and girls. We will continue to update our supporters as opportunities emerge to advance the objectives of this project.
We sincerely thank the donor who supported this campaign through GlobalGiving. Even when a fundraising target has not yet been reached, every contribution represents solidarity with Syrian women and confidence in our work.
