Girls4Goals strengthens the confidence, safety, education, and wellbeing of girls across rural communities in the Bono Region. Through football, mentorship, menstrual hygiene support, and community engagement, the programme gives girls the tools and spaces they need to thrive.
Girls in rural Ghana lack safe spaces, mentorship, and access to menstrual hygiene support. Many miss school during their periods, have low confidence, and face cultural barriers that limit participation in sport and leadership. Without structured guidance, they become more vulnerable to dropping out of school and early pressures at home.
Girls4Goals provides safe spaces for girls to play football, receive mentorship, life skills, and menstrual hygiene support, including sanitary pads. The programme builds confidence, leadership, and school attendance, addresses stigma, and engages families and communities to foster support. Trained local coaches ensure sustainability, empowering girls to thrive and promoting lasting gender equality.
Girls4Goals will develop a generation of confident, ambitious girls who can shape their own futures. Communities will become more supportive of girls' participation in sport and leadership. Trained local coaches and volunteers ensure the programme is sustainable, fostering lasting improvements in education, health, and gender equality across rural communities.
