The main aim of the project is to construct two girls-friendly toilets in Kavrepalanchok, Nepal. Fund will be utilized in order to build the girls-friendly toilets including water and sanitation improvements. After accomplishing the project, school girls will receive the facility of safe and hygienic toilets in their schools.
In the rural areas of Kavrepalanchok, schools have not toilets including no water facilities. During the menstruation period, girls have been faced problems due to lack of girls-friendly toilets. They are imposed to go into the forest or open space for toilets. Additionally, girls drop out from schools if they reach the age of puberty. The dropout rate of girls are increasing due to lack of toilets, and water and sanitation facilities in schools.
The project will construct and Maintenance two girls-friendly toilets in rural schools. We will also place dust -bin for disposing the sanitary pads. The organization will mobilize the skills and unskilled labors to construct and Maintenance the toilets. We will also connect the water from nearby water sources using water supply pipes.
Young girls will motivate to go to schools after constructing and Maintenance the girls-friendly toilets. They will come in school regularly. As a result, overall girls health will be improved due to healthy environment in schools. 300 young girls are directly benefited through he project.
