Dear Supporter,

Thank you for enabling Chitral Women’s Sports Club (CWSC) to stand up for girls’ and young women’s right to play sports in Pakistan. With your support, CWSC will continue to use sports to create a meaningful impact on young girls’ lives.

As you know, Chitral Women’s Sports Club was created by Karishma, the first female athlete from the tiny Chitral, to teach girls football. She was one of the winners of the Made to Play Fund, a Nike, Gurls Talk and Women Win initiative aimed at getting and keeping girls and young women in sport. With the funds, CWSC organized football and volleyball camps and tournaments with over 100 girls.

During these times of crisis, your very much needed support, will support Karishma to continue to further develop, support and empower girls and young women in Chitral, Pakistan.

Thank you.

Dear Supporter,

Thank you for enabling Chitral Women’s Sports Club (CWSC) to stand up for girls’ and young women’s right to play sports in Pakistan. With your support, CWSC will continue to use sports to create a meaningful impact on young girls’ lives.

During the past year CWSC’s leader was one of the winners of the Made to Play Fund, a Nike, Gurls Talk and Women Win initiative aimed at getting and keeping girls and young women in sport. With the funds, CWSC organized a football camp and tournament with over 100 girls. Additionally, they delivered health sessions, with a focus on dental hygiene, to all participants and their mothers. Lastly, they delivered a volleyball camp and tournament, and provided safe transportation for girls coming from distant villages.

Your donation will enable CWSC to continue to further develop, support and empower girls and young women in Chitral, Pakistan.

Thank you.

With your support the Chitral Women’s Sports Club (CWSC) organized a football camp and tournament with over 100 girls. Additionally, they delivered health sessions, with a focus on dental hygiene, and distributed toothpastes and toothbrushes to all participants. As part of the program, CWSC also invited mothers to the opening ceremony and briefed them about the importance of sports and dental hygiene for girls.

Your support will enable CWSP to deliver a volleyball camp and tournament, and provide safe transportation for girls coming from distant villages.

Dear supporter,

Chitral Women’s Sports Club was created by a young woman called Karishma, who is the first female athlete from the tiny Chitral town and who has also played football for Pakistan in the AFL International Cup in Australia and in the Jubilee Games. In 2018, she started the Chitral Women’s Sports Club to teach girls football.

Additionally, she organized a one-week football camp to challenge patriarchal societal beliefs surrounding gender norms and gender stereotypes. Karishma organized the tournament fair away in the mountains (the girls had to walk more than two hours to get to the place) and only female relatives were allowed to come. After this first summer camp, Karishma was the target of gender-based cyber-violence, receiving threats online. Nevertheless, Karishma persisted and defied bullies to continue her work.

She is currently engaged at the Women Win Leadership Program as part of the Made To Play Fund in which she has received a grant and a product donation (sports bras) to expand Chitral Women’s Football Club activities. Furthermore, Karishma has been exposed to incredible opportunities, one of them being granted half of the proceeds from Uniqlo x PARK x Women Win collaboration t-shirt to celebrate this year's FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Your support will continue enabling Karishma to access these opportunities and materialize the dreams of girls living in the north of Pakistan.
