Girls' Boarding School: Building Dreams by Blocks

Thanks to your continued generosity, the 2025–2026 school year has marked a powerful step forward for students at Coretech Kamarie Regional Technical High School in Bankondji.

This year, our Civil Engineering program has fully come to life through hands-on training that allows students to learn by doing. Both girls and boys are actively participating in practical construction work, including making concrete blocks and bricks, laying foundations, transporting materials, and understanding real building processes.

These experiences are transforming the way students think, learn, and envision their future careers.

One inspiring example is Marie, a 10th-grade student in Civil Engineering. In the attached photo, she is seen participating in a construction practice session at school.

Marie shares:

“Since I began studying civil engineering at the Kamarie Regional Technical High School Bankondji, my way of thinking and reasoning has completely changed. I am much more practical now because I have learned many techniques, such as making concrete blocks and bricks, laying out foundations, and digging trenches. These new skills allow me to assist my father on the various construction sites where he works. I spend more time with him.”

Marie’s story reflects a broader transformation across the school. Students are gaining confidence, developing technical skills, and building stronger connections between education and real life.

At the same time, our 11th-grade Accounting students—both girls and boys—are preparing for their end-of-year national examinations, which will determine their admission into the final year leading to the Cameroon Baccalaureate.

For many of these students, this milestone represents the first opportunity in their families to pursue higher education and professional careers.

I recently returned from two invaluable months at Coretech Kamarie in Bankondji, Cameroon. This experience was truly transformative, serving as a powerful testament to the twenty years of loyalty and support you have poured into Aumazo.

We concluded this journey with a beautiful "Day of Joy," planting the "Tree of Joy," a symbol that now grounds our mission in tradition and abundance. But the most compelling proof of your impact came directly from one of our students, Christ Miguel, who left us speechless:

"I was a delinquent before I came to Coretech Kamarie. I thank my father, who decided to get me out of the city and enroll me here. I've met like-minded people who have ambitions for their future. The guidance we receive from our teachers enables us to envision a better future. I attribute my escape from delinquency to my father, who had a strong desire to enroll me at Coretech. He put me back on the path of success in my life."
