Happy New Year!
The year 2022 was bountiful for HAS and our rescues; and we have no words to thank the generous donations that came our way during the season of giving. With your support, we improved the quality of life of more than 13000 animals. We conducted 135 special surgeries, 209 adoptions, 432 rescue missions, 2393 spay/neuter surgeries; treated 3655 animals as out-patients, and administered 6210 vaccinations. The year ended robust with these amazing statistics of what we were able to achieve together with YOU!
The highlight of November and December has been the expansion of our spay/neuter program where we added another centre for conducting surgeries and administering the vaccinations. Also commendable is the significant number of special surgeries and the resulting miraculous transformations we facilitated. The rescue stories of Rithu, Scarlett, and Sophie show the incredible grit and tenacity with which animals face adversity and emerge stronger.
We also had several successful adoptions, each of which is a heart-warming story in itself. The one that stands out is that of Pari — an abandoned senior pet that was left to die on the streets. We were delighted when she found a happy home and loving family. In the warm embrace of Vinitha, she is smothered with love and attention and also has a super-senior canine sibling — Puju for company. We couldn't have asked for a better life for her! Before the holidays, we squeezed in a few awareness sessions too, for school children, with the aim of instilling kindness and compassion in impressionable minds.
Giving a safe haven for the over 100 permanent animals of our sanctuary is made possible only by your generous support. Your $50 donation covers the treatment and care of one rescue pet for a whole month, while your $20 donation covers the cost of one spay/neuter surgery. No amount is too small when it comes to making a difference to precious lives. Our deep appreciation to your sustained commitment to the cause. Kindly continue to support us!
