Period poverty, stigma, and lack of comprehensive Menstruation, Sexual, and Reproductive Health (MSRH) education perpetuate gender inequality.Significantly hindering educational and economic opportunities for women and girls in low-income global settings.Millions lack basic menstrual health knowledge and safe supplies, leading to infections, limited education access, and reduced social mobility. Crucially, necessary funds rarely reach the changemakers leading grassroots solutions to the problem.
Young people are best suited to lead local, community-based initiatives. Global Changemakers has a strong, decade-long history of directly funding youth-led grassroots projects that provide locally relevant solutions. In 2025, we supported 10 MSRH projects, directly benefiting 1,000 people across 8 countries: South Africa, Kenya, India, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, and Zambia. We will continue to use our network to directly support these young changemakers.
Since launching our Menstrual Sexual and Reproductive Health (MSRH) Course in 2021, we have directly witnessed the demand for Menstrual Education. Our direct and cascade training has already impacted over 22,000 individuals, proving the effectiveness of incorporating these resources into community toolkits for replication. Global Changemakers has a track record of supporting youth-led initiatives that deliver proven, long-term impact, with supported projects reaching 16 million people.
