Happy after drinking a bottle of milk
Many of us thought that getting out of the year 2020 would be the solution. We will always remember 2020 as the covid-19, social unrest, closures, the year of not getting anything done. The year that our jobs and lifestyles became more digital. We learned where the Wi-Fi had the strongest signal in our homes. We learned how to socialize via zoom and still keep in touch with our loved ones. Here we are now. People all over the world are still fighting against the pandemic. We are all doing our best despite the rising numbers of covid-19.
Haiti is also in a similar situation. We are in our second wave. We are not only fighting covid-19, we are also living in a period of political unrest. Haiti is in a state of level 4 Security Alert. This is affecting our daily lives. Since we live up in the mountains, many roads would be blocked because people are rioting. It makes it more difficult for us to have our supplies brought up to God’s Littlest Angels.Simple tasks like going to the supermarket to purchase milk has become a hassle. Despite all of these challenges, we are doing our best just like all of our GLA supporters.
Time waits for no one, now is the time for us to work together to have a better environment. Thank you for donating your time in the digital world to help us provide specialty formulas for our sweet babies. God is our provider and he has sent many of you to help us in our cause and projects.
"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."Philippians 4:19.

God is Hope

2020 has not been the easiest year for people around the globe. We were in the midst of turmoil. The pandemic impacted everyone. People were losing their jobs and their lives due to covid-19. We had to adapt to our new way of life. Wearing masks, testing before traveling and working from home. In the midst of chaos, we were all grasping for hope. Hoping for a better future. God is and will always be one to give us hope at God’s littlest Angels.
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
—Zephaniah 3:17
We are thankful because God helped us and he continues to help us daily. We are thankful to our sponsors and donors because in 2020 during a difficult year we were able to purchase baby formula. We were able to make sure that our babies are healthy and growing strong in God’s love. Every donation counts! Thank you to our sponsors and donors for supporting our babies in 2020 and for your continued support in this new year.

GLA is back in session!

Baby C is camera ready
During Isolation the children would wake up, shower and spend the day outdoors. Outdoors during isolation was staying in front of their houses and spending some time at the playground. We made sure that they were active. The babies and toddlers would wake up, shower have their usual favorite breakfast a nice warm bottle of milk. They would spend the rest of the day sun bathing on the grass and playing outside.
We were lucky enough in Haiti that there was not a huge outbreak. Up to today we only have about 8000 cases of covid-19 since the initial lock down of the country. The biggest issue is that us dollars went up in Haiti. To the point that $1 us was equal to 120 gourdes. So things got more expensive for all the consumers.
The dollar went down considerably but things are still expensive because the sellers are not adjusting their prices. At GLA we buy all of our essentials in gourdes so we are paying the increased percentage. Baby formula is 40% more expensive then before. This is increasing our need for more help just to tend to the needs of our children. Our babies need different formulas to be able to stay healthy. We need specialty formulas for preemies, babies that are lactose intolerant and babies that can only drink soy formulas. We are able to provide this nourishing formula thanks to your help. We are doing our best to make sure that are children are getting what they need to develop and grow.
