Speciality - Premature Formula Needed

Baby Formula Donation
We have been very blessed to receive a nice donation of baby formula from another organization working in Haiti. They donated formula for children 0 - 6 months and 6 - 12 months. This is such a blessing because now all doantions for formula can be used to purchase the more expensive specialty formulas that we need for Premature babies and babies with feeding problems.
These baby formulas can cost twice what a regular can of formula costs. Sometimes, we cannot purchase more than one or two cans at a time because they are so expensive. Most of our babies in our NICU need special formula. They need the milk with higher calories and easy on the stomach. To grow quickly and not have stomach issues, sometimes they need formula that is specially made for easy digestion.
We also have a breast milk bank in the States who donated some breast milk for babies who can't tolerate any formula or for babies whose mamas do not have enough breast milk of their own.
Please give to help the children who need these specialty formulas. Sometimes, this is the only formula that they can drink. Without it, they fail to thrive and stay small. Your giving makes a difference in these children's lives.

Help Us Help Them Thrive

When this little guy came to us, he was malnourished, underweight and very lethargic. Because of the proper formula packed with the nutrients his body needs to flourish and thrive, he's speeding toward recovery.
It's not at all uncommon for families to bring their malnourished children to us in the hopes that we can help care for them until they are strong enough to return home. Critical care and the nourishment needed to nurse children like these back to health are both things for which the average Haitian family is unequipped financially. That said, being able to provide free medical care and supplies to them is part of our core mission. Through your generous donations, we're able to purchase multiple types of formula that assist in treating children of every age.
The road back from malnourishment is a long and grueling one for these children. As a result, having the correct type of food for them at every stage is exactly the sort of thing that sets us apart from other organizations serving here in Haiti. We are all for making things work with what we have, but when people give to support the provision of formula for these kids, they are helping to make it so that God's Littlest Angels can provide acute care for the treatment of acute symptoms. That sets us apart as a care facility and it sets up these children for healthy and successful futures!

Nutrition in Every Season

Whether it's the middle of summer or the approaching cooler season up in the mountains of Fort Jacques, Haiti, we're always striving to provide the best nutrition possible for the little children cared for here at God's Littlest Angels (GLA). We are in need of more funds to purchase formula and supplements to combat the effects of the cold and wet climate here. Colds, flu strains and fever seem to abound right now and we've noticed a direct linkage between our ability to provide the appropriate nutritional supplement and the children's maintained health during this time of year.
Please consider making a donation to support our general care fund here at GLA. It allows us to be all the more targeted in purchasing the exact formula needed for each child. We want to ensure we give these kids the best chance possible of surviving and overcoming the effects of the malnourished start they had in life.
