Throughout the first half of 2026, the Territorial Coordination and Governance initiative continued the agendas launched in 2025, focusing on consolidating the Territorial Strategy’s pilot municipalities.
These actions aimed to strengthen the Foundation's institutional presence in priority territories, aligning the strategy with pre-existing movements, institutions, and participatory bodies.
Efforts focused particularly on the Serra da Bocaina region (Bananal, São José do Barreiro, and Areias), the Paraíba Valley (Cachoeira Paulista), the Serra da Mantiqueira (Itamonte and Itanhandu), the Ipanema National Forest (FLONA) and its surroundings, and the Cuesta Paulista region (Botucatu), seeking to expand engagement and integration with existing local agendas.
This resulted in new areas designated for forest restoration—such as the municipality of Cachoeira Paulista, with 206 hectares integrating scientific research, ecological restoration, integrated fire management, and environmental education—along with 150 hectares mobilized in Serra da Bocaina National Park and another 100 hectares currently being mobilized in the Ipanema National Forest.
Taking into account Conservation Units, public lands, and rural properties, approximately 800 hectares have already been mobilized for restoration in 2026, with the majority located in Permanent Preservation Areas.
