Thank you for all your generous support for distribution of food groceries provision to the neglected elders through esteemed organization GlobalGiving.
Because of your generous support and sacrifice of your hard earnings towards elderly care, All our elders are very happy, healthy and thanking you for helping them to live with dignity. CHHASE and our staff thank you for your support.
Most of the elders are neglected by their own sons/ daughters / relations and cheated by them by way of snatching the land, which belong to them. Some of the sons or daughters, after marriage they listen to their wife or husband and they leave their mother unattended and UN looked after. They are left starving and uncared.
KUPPAMMA’s STORY:
KUPPAMMA is 84 years old and now she is not healthy and happy. She lost her husband before 22 years ago. During her husband was alive, they were having large quantity of cultivatable land and every year, they were harvesting a large amount of rice, dal, etc.They happily celebrated all the festivals by cooking sweet rice, sweets and they shared everything with neighbours and relatives and shared their happiness. When she lost her husband to cancer, she was left with one son and one daughter.
After 4 years of her husband death, she arranged marriage to her daughter to her relative groom and they were living in far off place. And within 3 years, she also arranged marriage to her son. After marriage, the boy did not go to any work and started learning to drink country liquor. He became full time drinker and One day her sons took her signature in a stamp paper and sold the land. Within no time, the money what they got has completely spent out. Her son told her to go out of the house and said that they cannot provide food and look after her
3 years she suffered by begging and She came in our care 8 years back and since then she is living in our care and happy and healthy.
