We are excited to share that since the start of 2026, we have served 751 pantry bags, 4,875 meals, and provided weekly nutritional counseling! We are proud of our efforts to ensure that anyone who needs food or a meal can receive it.
We are happy to share a participant's story that highlights the impact of our Food and Nutrition Services:
A recipient of Food and Nutrition Services picked up a pantry bag this month that included chicken legs and produce (carrots, onions, and potatoes), and also attended nutrition counseling the same day. On her way to receiving breakfast at our agency, she reported to our staff that she's been thinking about what she learned during the counseling session and the importance of cooking a balanced meal and portion sizes. With the food she received from the pantry distribution, she cooked a meal of baked chicken with vegetables, with a smaller portion size of rice than what she would usually make. She's very inspired to continue attending nutrition counselling and to apply what she learns more consistently.
