Your help gives hope

Situation in Kayah State

The humanitarian situation in Kayah/Shan State remains extremely difficult and continues to deteriorate for many communities. Ongoing armed conflict and repeated airstrikes on villages and areas hosting internally displaced people are forcing families to flee repeatedly, often with little warning and under highly dangerous conditions.

For those affected, repeated displacement means losing what little security and stability they may have had. Families frequently have to leave their homes with only the belongings they can carry. Food supplies are increasingly difficult to secure, while access to clean water, healthcare and other essential services remains severely limited. Children, elderly people, sick and vulnerable individuals are particularly affected.

Despite these challenging circumstances, the support of our donors has enabled us to continue providing essential assistance to displaced families and vulnerable communities in Kayah State. Food distributions remain one of our most important activities, helping families meet their most basic needs. We also continue to support schools and kindergartens, where maintaining regular meals and basic supplies is especially important for children.

Our local team and partners are essential to this work. They monitor the rapidly changing situation, identify communities in greatest need, organize and coordinate distributions, and adapt our assistance whenever new groups of displaced people arrive. Their local knowledge and close contact with affected communities allow us to respond as quickly and effectively as possible, even under extremely difficult conditions.

Your support makes this continued assistance possible. Every donation helps provide food and essential supplies to people who have lost their homes and livelihoods and are struggling to survive.

The people of Kayah State urgently need continued support. Please help us ensure that displaced families, children and other vulnerable people are not forgotten.

Together, we can continue to bring practical help and hope to communities facing an unimaginable situation. Thank you for standing with them.
