As per the provision of Nepal’s new constitution and implementation of federal structure for the first time in the history we had to go through 3 – National, Provincial and local elections in the reporting quarter. With the due provision and new arrangement the public land which is to be assigned to us for construction of community shelters should have been passed by the elected representatives of newly formed Village council. So we had to wait till the elections are over for receiving the approval for the public land for the flood resilient community shelters. So, in the reporting quarter we could not start the purposed construction work for flood resilient community shelters. But its preliminary arrangements have all been finalized and now recently we have received the letter from the Village council allocating us the required land for the construction of the shelters.
Construction work will soon start with the finalization of the design estimate and we hope in the coming quarter we would be able to share you more on the flood resilient community shelters.
