Dear Supporters,
Natural disasters often place persons with disabilities (PWDs) at heightened risk, particularly in areas where access to services and mobility support is limited. During the recent floods in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, many PWDs and their families faced significant challenges in meeting basic needs and navigating disrupted living conditions.
We were able to provide targeted flood relief to 38 PWDs and their families in Buner with your support. This included wheelchairs, along with ration supplies and hygiene kits to address immediate food and health needs. This assistance helped ensure that PWDs were not excluded from relief efforts and had access to essential resources during a critical time.
By addressing both mobility and basic household needs, this support helped ease the immediate burden on families caring for PWDs amid the floods. For many, these resources provided much-needed stability as they began the process of recovery.
With gratitude,
Team NOWPDP
