Since its launch in August 2018, Civic Force has been supporting local NPOs through NPO Partner Projects. 

 

Soul Visiting Nurse Station, which provides support in Mabi Town, Okayama Prefecture, has continued its activities using a trailer house lent by Civic Force as its temporary office. Soul Visiting Nurse Station hosts a disaster preparedness workshop regularly.

 

Riera, based in Oita Prefecture, who provides post-disaster community development and activities related to disaster preparedness, conducted a study tour targeting the affected communities in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture. The tour was participated by local NPOs and staff members from the municipality The group visited the Kyushu region which was devastated by heavy rainfall in 2017 and learned about the reconstruction and lessons learned. The participants discussed tailored assistance to temporary housing residents and the importance of involving local residents in the disaster recovery process.
