While this reporting period has not brought a single large-scale breakthrough to announce, it has been one of sustained effort, resilience, and determined groundwork in the ongoing fight against rhino poaching.
As many of our supporters are aware, the current global economic climate continues to impact conservation operations worldwide. Funding constraints, rising operational costs, and logistical challenges have required us to be strategic, disciplined, and resourceful in how we deploy our teams and equipment. Despite these pressures, our commitment remains unwavering. We are making the absolute most of every resource entrusted to us.
Continuing Ground Operations
Our fieldwork remains active and focused. Anti-poaching efforts are rarely defined by dramatic public moments — they are built on daily intelligence gathering, monitoring, collaboration, and persistence.
During this period we have:
Continued on-the-ground monitoring and support operations.
Strengthened intelligence networks to track illegal wildlife activity.
Maintained active communication channels with field partners.
Focused on preventative strategies to disrupt poaching before it occurs.
Preventative work often goes unseen, but it is one of the most effective tools in conservation. Every snare removed, every suspicious movement tracked, and every lead investigated contributes to keeping rhinos safe.
Collaboration with Royal Foundations
Our work alongside the Royal Foundations in the fight against poaching continues to develop constructively. This partnership strengthens coordination, enhances intelligence-sharing, and amplifies our overall impact.
We are currently engaged in several ongoing investigations linked to wildlife crime networks. While operational sensitivity prevents us from sharing specific details at this stage, we are optimistic that these investigations may yield significant results in the near future. Strategic investigations require patience and precision, and we remain committed to seeing them through.
Adapting in Challenging Times
Economic strain has required us to prioritize carefully. Rising fuel costs, equipment expenses, and cross-border operational complexities have all required thoughtful management. However, these challenges have also reinforced our resilience.
Rather than scaling back, we have:
Increased efficiency in resource deployment.
Focused on high-impact operations.
Strengthened partnerships to share intelligence and capabilities.
Concentrated efforts where risk levels are highest.
Every donation received through GlobalGiving directly supports this adaptive, boots-on-the-ground approach.
Looking Ahead
The fight against poaching is not a sprint — it is a long-term commitment. Progress is often measured not only by arrests and headlines, but by rhinos that remain alive because a threat was intercepted early.
We remain vigilant, focused, and determined. The groundwork being laid today forms the foundation for major breakthroughs tomorrow.
To our supporters: your continued belief in this mission enables us to keep moving forward, even in difficult times. Together, we are standing on the front line for one of the world’s most threatened species.
Thank you for being part of this fight.
