2024 Year in Review

By Dr. Sharwan Saini | Founder and Executive Director, India

Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your support!

2024 was a great year, not only for the number of informal housing residents we met and helped, but also for our fundraising efforts. It is true that these go hand in hand!

Each month, we share medical intervention stories through our website. This year was a bit slower during the summer, when the community Our annual Winter Gift Giving celebration is always held in December and it is an event that the locals, especially the children, anticipate long before it happens! This year was no different. We had a grand time in each of our four clinic areas. Below are photos of each area. You can tell by the smiles that a good time was had by all – adults and children! This is so much fun for everyone, including staff!mostly stayed isolated fighting extreme heat. But as the weather improved, our activities increased. Look for these stories under the Medical section at our website Stories - Save Kids Trust

We have begun a project to build our next Save Kids Trust clinic! The project is currently in the engineering phase and it is so exciting to review early drafts of blueprints.  This clinic site, like our other sites, is central to several slum areas including a large community of Banjara people. We are lucky to have a donor who will match $15,000 and we have already raised $13,564 toward that goal! We know the total cost of the new clinic will be more than the almost $30k we have already raised, so fundraising for this exciting project continues. For more information on this project click here: Building our Next Clinic! - Save Kids Trust

Our 72 educational seminars last year reached over 5400 people and helped everyone learn about the prevention and detection of possible illnesses. I have been told many times that the children who attend these seminars return home to share this information with their families, which is the point! I am very proud!

Your generous donations to Save Kids Trust have been used to provide health care, as well as warmth and fun, to over 22,000 people. It is amazing what the Save Kids Trust clinics can do with limited funds and we encourage you to continue your support to help us reach out to even more people this year.

If you are interested in visiting India and seeing Save Kids Trust in-person, please let us know. Board members Donna and Marty Shively are anticipating a trip in Fall 2025 and would love to lead a group.
