Dear Supporter,
Thank you for standing with La Nuestra Futbol Feminista in 2025.
Activities carried out in the last three months
During this period, La Nuestra Fu tbol Feminista continued its regular training sessions twice a week across three fields in Villa 31, with the participation of more than 150 players. These sessions, held every Tuesday and Thursday, have continued to provide a safe and inclusive space for women, girls, and gender-diverse people to train, learn, and build community. In addition, La Nuestra competed in six categories in weekend tournaments, strengthening team spirit, solidarity, and leadership among participants.
This quarter, La Nuestra completed the translation and launch of its Theory of Transformation in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Originally developed collectively within the framework of the Hagamos La Nuestra LATAM Football Learning Community, this document captures years of reflection and practice from feminist football organisations across Latin America. Its translation marks an important step in expanding the reach and accessibility of these learnings, making them available to allies and movements beyond the region.
The documentary Un juego propio, which tells the story of La Nuestra and the evolution of feminist football in Argentina, continued to gain international visibility. Over the past months, it was screened at film festivals in Greece, Colombia, and France, allowing new audiences to connect with the history and struggles of women and gender-diverse people in sport.
In addition, La Nuestra participated in the IV International Colloquium INCT "Football and Social Studies", where the organisation shared its experience of community-based feminist football and its impact on the social and political transformation of sport.
A highlight of the period was the visit from the technical staff of Argentina’s National Women’s Team, who led a special training session for La Nuestra players. This exchange was a powerful moment of recognition between grassroots and elite football, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and mutual learning within the women’s football ecosystem.
Upcoming activities in the next three months
Looking ahead, the documentary Un juego propio will continue its international journey, with its upcoming participation in the Mulheres no Futebol Film Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This event offers another chance to showcase the voices and stories of the players and coaches who have helped build feminist football from the ground up. La Nuestra will also participate in the 38th Plurinational Gathering of Women, Travestis, Trans, and Non-binary People in Corrientes. As every year, we will take our football pitch and our methodologies to this powerful space of encounter, reflection, and collective action, engaging with feminist movements from across Argentina and Latin America.
Furthermore, the Hagamos La Nuestra LATAM Football Learning Community will continue expanding its network, incorporating new allied organisations and facilitating regional exchanges to deepen the collective understanding of feminist sport and governance.
Finally, before the end of the year, La Nuestra will hold a plenary meeting with its entire team to evaluate achievements, identify challenges, and plan for the upcoming year. The year will close with an end-of-year celebration at the Guemes field, bringing together players, families, and allies in a moment of joy, recognition, and community.
Tangible challenges that can be overcome with financial support
La Nuestra continues to operate in a challenging political and social context, marked by growing restrictions on feminist and community-based organisations in Argentina. Sustaining our structure and territorial work requires not only commitment but also financial support to maintain and strengthen our programs. With continued funding, La Nuestra can:
Despite the difficulties, La Nuestra reaffirms its conviction that football is a tool for social transformation. Through sport, we build community, strengthen networks, and defend the right of all people to play, learn, and lead free from discrimination and violence.
