Dear Supporter,
Thank you for standing up with La Nuestra Fútbol Feminista in 2025 and as we move into 2026.
1. Activities carried out in the last three months
During the month of December, we held our end-of-year celebration together with the players and the entire La Nuestra team. It was a space for gathering and collective celebration, where we reflected on the year’s journey and especially recognized the Under-10 category, which became champion of the tournament played during the season. This achievement represents not only a sporting result, but also the growth of our formative work and the strengthening of feminist football from childhood onward.
We also carried out our annual closing meeting with the full coordination and coaching team, where we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of 2025, assessing progress, challenges, and lessons learned, while beginning to project objectives and lines of action for 2026.
During January and the first half of February, we observed our summer break. We resumed activities in mid-February with an initial planning and organizational meeting focused on defining priorities, work strategies, and institutional projections for the new year.
Over these past months, we also maintained meetings and coordination spaces with regional organizations to plan our presence at the upcoming Women’s Football World Cup. These exchanges allowed us to continue strengthening networks and alliances at both the local and regional levels, consolidating the collective work of feminist football across Latin America.
2. Upcoming activities in the next three months
During the month of March, we will carry out activities together with local feminist organizations to commemorate significant dates of struggle, such as Lesbian Visibility Day and International Women’s Day. These spaces allow us to connect football with feminist activism, strengthening the political and community-based dimension of our project.
On the sporting front, we will begin participating in a new league that requires a higher level of commitment and competitive demand. This initiative represents an important challenge for this year, as it will strengthen the players’ football development, consolidate teamwork, and expand our experience in formal competitions.
At the same time, we will continue holding meetings and coordinating with regional organizations to further plan our presence at the upcoming Women’s Football World Cup and advance in securing the funding necessary to make this participation possible.
Additionally, we are part of a network of clubs promoted together with the Ministry of Social Development of the City Government. Through this network, we will work collaboratively across different neighborhoods of the city, promoting access to sports for girls and adolescents and strengthening community-based work.
3. Tangible challenges that can be overcome with financial support
In the current political and social context —marked by setbacks in the area of rights and by an increasingly adverse environment for feminist and community-based organizations— La Nuestra Fútbol Feminista faces the challenge of sustaining its structure, training spaces, and territorial work while remaining true to its convictions and principles.
Financial support is essential to ensure the continuity of free training sessions, the provision of sports equipment, the maintenance of facilities, transportation to competitions, and the ongoing training of the team. It also makes it possible to sustain spaces of gathering and care, which are central to our pedagogical and community-based approach.
In this scenario, it is also crucial to strengthen alliances and networks —both locally and regionally— that allow us to exchange knowledge, plan joint actions, and expand the reach of feminist football as a tool for social transformation.
Despite the challenges, La Nuestra reaffirms its commitment to building a form of football that promotes equality, freedom, and dignity for all people, and that continues to serve as a concrete tool for organization, participation, and community transformation.
