Dear Supporter,
Thank you for standing up with La Nuestra Fútbol Feminista in 2025.
Activities done in the last three months
La Nuestra resumed its biweekly training sessions in March 2025, as planned after the summer break. Activities continue across three fields with around 150 players.
In late April, La Nuestra hosted a three-day regional gathering with GOLEES (Costa Rica) and Lésbica Futurista (Uruguay), bringing together players, coaches, and leaders to exchange experiences and strengthen their shared practice.
In late May, the documentary Un juego propio premiered at a local cinema, followed by a public conversation with its protagonists and directors. The film showcases La Nuestra’s story and its work to advance feminist football through the voices of Luciana, Juliana, and Lorena – three women football players, coaches, and feminist leaders.
As always, La Nuestra continued mobilising for the rights of girls, women, and LGBTQI+ communities — including taking to the streets during key dates such as 8M and 3J, especially now in the face of ongoing rollbacks on rights in Argentina.
Upcoming activities in the next three months
La Nuestra will continue to hold biweekly training sessions with 150 players across three fields in the community, creating an accessible space for women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ participants, including those with caregiving responsibilities. We will also remain active in the Liffeba neighbourhood league, continuing our long-standing engagement in community-based football.
In the coming months, La Nuestra and the Coordinadora de Fútbol Feminista sin Fronteras are planning to participate in the 38th Plurinational Women’s Gathering in Corrientes. As we do every year, we will take our football pitch and join dialogues and actions alongside feminist movements from across the country and region.
The Theory of Transformation developed through the Hagamos La Nuestra LATAM Football Learning Community has now been finalised and is in the design phase. It will soon be shared with players, allies, and community members to gather feedback, reflect on lived experiences, and deepen collective thinking around feminist football and governance.
Tangible challenges that can be overcome with financial support
La Nuestra is committed to defending the right to play and live free from violence for women, girls, adolescents, and LGBTQI+ people. Through safe, inclusive, and high-quality football training, we foster both technical skills and leadership, while making visible the presence and power of women and LGBTQI+ people as role models in sport.
Our work goes beyond the pitch. We take a comprehensive approach that includes menstrual and mental health support, access to justice, and community building, aiming to respond to the complex realities our participants face. These spaces empower individuals, strengthen bonds, and amplify voices often left out of mainstream narratives.
In a context where gender justice efforts are under threat and grassroots groups face ongoing funding gaps, this support is vital. It enables us to deepen partnerships and continue breaking down structural barriers that hinder the full exercise of rights for women and gender-diverse people.
